Is it necessary to replace the header gaskets when replacing the headers? I am using stock headers with ceramic coating. The Haynes manual says to apply some grease as well. Grease? Never heard of it! Can someone give me some details? Do I also apply some "grease" where the headers meet the silencers?
I am new to this. Thanks.

Yes,
You will need new gaskets. They are compression type and are used once only. The grease goes on the gasket, just a thin smear, then torque up evenly a little on each nut until correct (19 Nm)
