Often, the way companies calculate sell price is kind of idiotic. When a company makes a part, they will mark it up "times 3". A $33 part will cost $100. But if they have to go outside and buy the part for $100, they''ll price it at $300.
Crazy ... but unfortunately, we're on the receiving end.
