Does anyone know if these two models (Bonnie and Scrambler) share the same tanks? Saw the new line of 68 accessories for the Bonnies (on the Triumph web site) and there is a tank cover I would love on my Scrambler. Will place a call to my dealer... but it's a small shop and not very knowledgable about accessories. It would probably take me about a week to get a straight answer.

Thanks for the help in advance.

So that means the fuel filler cap is equally difficult to take off?

I note that the earlier Bonnie tanks are 16 litres, but I think post 2005 Bonnie & Scrambler fuel capacity is 16.6 - slightly bigger. Mine look the same though, I think.

Those tank covers dont really look all that good in person from what I have seen, and thats only been a solid red one, I dont know how the flag ones would look. I would def try to see one in person before I spent the money on one!

The tanks are the same.By the way,how are those tank covers held on? are they removable? What material are they? I've seen the price of them...yikes!

The tank covers are plastic, they fit on the scrambler, and I acutally think some of them look pretty good. I saw a scrambler with the 68 one installed.

They are, however, way overpriced. $99 would probably be more appropriate.

I'd be interested to know how they are held on.If they are using a two way 3M type tape, you would likely distroy it(and the tanks finish) if you ever decided to remove it for whatever reason. I'm kinda hoping its a soft magnetic strip setup that's easy to remove. From what I can tell in the pic's,it just covers the top portion of the tank,is this the case? I don't know if I would go with the "68" cover, why give them free advertising?I kinda liked the full colored Union Jack.I think it would look kinda snazzy on my blue/white Scrambler in a Austin Powers sorta way.Shagadelic!....Oh yeah Baby!!!
