Needed an O ring for the mixture adjusting screw after one of mine came out in two pieces. After trying Honda (the part# in the archives doesn't work) and Kawasaki (We will get back to you- 4 days ago and waiting) and two Hardware stores in the local area I finally ordered one from a Triumph Dealer at $4 EACH.
But get this- the little steel washer that supports the O ring- $7!!!. I got some bronze ones from Ace for 9 CENTS.
This is an absolute rip off, and with $300 kickstands and tachometers I'm seriously considering going back to a 68-70 Bonneville where parts are easily obtained and CHEAP.
End of Rant, that feels better.

You can buy O ring kits at napa, about $7.00 for about 100 O rings, they sell metric and standard kits, along with green (for air con stuff).

Pep boys used to have a bunch, even real big ones, but not any more.

What with ebay, the old stuff is great, I got loads of new old stock parts for my Daytona dirt cheap.

Eleven years ago I ordered four little 1mm neoprene o-rings (Kawasakis) for my Yamaha, to shim the needles. Cost was $7 each from the Yamaha/Kawasaki dealer. Some of this stuff has always been and will always be ridiculously high-priced.

I'm scared to see what I'm gonna be billed for parts I ordered yesterday...... just gave him my Visa number, and didn't even ask.

You know those bolts that hold the disc (brake) to the wheel? I removed them, then put 'em back after having wheels rebuilt. When I heard (in casual small-talk) that those bolts are to be replaced with new bolts once removed...... and then heard the same story again months later, I thought I better listen to the wisdom of 'doing the right thing'......

Apparently, when threads are stretched, removed, stretched again upon putting them back, and then heated up with use of the brake...... it's not a good thing to mess with fate. I know I'm gonna get raped, but what're ya gonna do?

You know how much Triumph wants for that cheap plastic housing that holds the speedometer? Over $125.00!?!?!?! I'm sorry, I need that housing, but I REFUSE to give that kind of money for a nickle's worth of plastic.....
