Am wanting to change my sprocket from the stock 17 that comes on the TBA to the 19 tooth that they have on new speedmaster.com. If I do this, do I need a new chain? Or will the original chain still fit with the new sprocket? Also how involved is it to change these out? Any special tools needed? etc. Doesn't seemt that it should be too difficult, but I'm no mechanic. Any input would be awesome. Thanks guys!
Here's an excellent how-to from Dinqua that explains everything with photos. You'll need a 24mm socket, Sears has a lot of their weird sizes on sale cheap right now (usually about $10). Dinqua How-To - Sprocket Change
Your chain should be fine.

As an adendum to Pat's site, a lot of guys are just using the rear brake to hold the chain steady while they crack loose that nut, rather than the block of wood trick... I am old school and used the wood

Yeah it is a 36mm socket...and I would definitely try the 18 tooth first. You lose a lot of low end torque. I switched to the 18 tooth but I would not go any higher, unless you just like puttin around like a Hardley rider.
