Hi,
have recently developed unsightly yellow staining on the headers this appears to be localised as it is not on the downpipe only for about 3" where the cross over pipes join (under the engine). any ideas why this should be?

Also I have a pair of Thrux TOR and are looking for Thrus headers to match, if these can be found what jets should I be looking at? (dont wish to bend existing pipes as I need to be able to restore to stock for testing etc.) :???:

Isn't the coloring normal? Mine does that. This is single wall pipe.

I always thought the colouring near the head to be normal it is this stripe at the cross over point with bright chrome either side that interests me. maybe I am just missing something here

I have the same discoloring. It's completely normal for the stock setup. I have the 790 collectors edition. HA!!!
Soon to be replaced by black ceramic.

The crossover acts as a big restriction, IMHO, and discoloring in that area is normal. The crossover should probably be much closer to the exhaust ports, and it's my guess that the current location is a big compromise--probably too big. My bike ran much better at all rpms with a header system without a crossover.
