$10,999 for a T-100?!??!
Triumph is out of their freaking mind!
The low price is part what made the Bonnie such a great buy. At this point, if I were buying new, I would probably get a Sporty 1200 over a T-100.

The Bonnie seems like a good $7000 motorcycle. It is not a good $9000 motorcycle. If it's going to be $9000, it'd better have Ohlins on both ends, twin Brembos up front, and the greatest seat ever conceived. For $11,000 (around the price of a ZX-14!!!!) the T100 had better come with a damned GPS system, saddlebags, AND the lump out of a Sprint ST!!!!!

My thoughts exactly. Matter of fact, I checked on the MSRP on an 07 Sportster 1200 Roadster as a basis of comparison ... looks like the base unit in black comes in around $8200 (maybe I'd better re-check that number ... sounds too low).
Maybe Triumph, back in 1999-2000, decided to buy their way into the retro market, then raise the price a few years out. Not an unheard of marketing tactic. I've never thought they made much money on the Bonnies, especially the Bonnie Blacks, at an MSRP of $6999. Perhaps they think now is the time to play catch up.

Triumph better make a lot more options come as stock if they are going to charge that kind of money, that center stand, chrome cam cover, some nicer exhaust, better mirrors, chrome levers and I am sure I could think of a few more. They dont need to change the paint any as I think that has looked pretty good.
I have never been a big fan of the sportsters, but since the rubber mounting, and now the 50th anniversary models, the nice new paint colors as well, it just might push someone over who was looking at getting a T-100 into the HD world, not that that is a bad thing.
Oh well hopefully those prices are just a bad rumor!!

I completely agree with you. $11k for a T100 is insane. I paid $8,384.82 which included freight, setup, sales tax (6.5%), license, title, and all doc fees for my 2006 T100.
There is no way I would pay anything close to $10k or $11K for a T100. I's simply not worth it. Especially when I compare the features to what I got on my 2006 BMW R1200GS for $15k.

In AUS this year the T100 was A$13,790 (US$10,360) and was marketed as being discounted by A$460 (US$345) off the true price.
The Bonneville (Black as well) A$11,990 (US$9000) and this was marketed at being A$1,600 off the normal price (US$1200)
I converted at the current US$1 to A$0.75 rate
These prices did not include any on road costs, insurance, stamp duty........
I will keep you posted when our new pricing structure comes out!!!!
The prices seem to fit the market if I compare other bike prices such as 1200 HD etc!!!!
Might have to import one from the US this year

I really considered not purchasing my present, previously owned 2003 T100 as a second motorcycle (298 miles). It is the 4th British motorcycle since my purchase of my first new BSA Lightening 650 in 1966, and the only used bike I've ever owned.
But thanks to the new price increase, I'm feeling much better, thank you.

Relax, There's nothing I've seen from Triumph on a price increase. I think you all are getting excited for no reason.
This beststuff link is a crock. Chill until you see it on the Triumph site.
The term they use of "on the road price" is generally a British term that includes the 17% VAT (tax), setup, transportation etc.
I saw 2 '06 Scramblers this week sitting at the dealer with $6899 price tags - $900 under list? The Sprint ST was also discounted a $1000. That doesn't sound like they are selling all they can build to me.

Oldsport,
Here is the link from the Triumph site.
Triump UK
Do the conversion (current rate is almost 2 dollars to 1 pound) and those prices are close.
This sucks, maybe the weak dollar is the cause of the increase.
I guess it also depends on how much tax, title, and license cost too.
Still, the price increase is no good thing......
