I just installed the bell mouth(norman hyde) today. Very, very simple mod. It has thrown off my jetting my bike feels slower on the highway. I am currently 125 and 42 jets and running a k+n with norman hyde mufflers. I don't wnt to waste a trip to the dyno to tell me i am off. I will post before after dyno results after finding the correct settings.

I'm thinking that you simply replace your standard needle with a Thruxton needle, and consider a Uni or K&N air filter.

You would be where I was running with the bellmouth and pipes..... and she ran gooooooood!

re

Have you had your carb tops off for adjustments

I DID THIS THE other week and trapped the diafram so it was'nt sealed, so no vacuum on 1 carb .
Bike felt like a 250 and ran perfect on tickover

Put your OEM filter back in and see if it runs any better. The K&N flows less than the OEM filter unless the OEM is extremely dirty. Also put your 40 pilots back in, 42's will be to rich for your state of tune.

I thinking the problem might have been sorted out in the last 2-1/2 years.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
