Unfortunately highsided last weekend, and since a couple of fractures in my collar bone means I wont be riding for a little while, I have time on my hands to plan the repairs and add a few goodies to my bike.
Firstly, I have always hated the plastic cheap looking rev and speed counter, and now these are broken, I was looking for classy replacements - anyone have any suggestions?
I was also thinking of a smaller headlight replacement as the original is a bit bulbous for my tastes. Again anyone have suggestions?
Finally I like the look of the Specialty Spares TT pipes. Anyone tried these? Looking for noise, but a classy noise!

I don't have any suggestions, but I wish you well for your recovery, and for the recovery of your ride! Ride on!

Hope you heal quickly, and the bike too.

I'm also interested in the specialty spares TT pipes. I really like the look, I'd be interested in anyone's expreineces with them, as well.

You Thruxton guys sure crash a lot.

Get well soon.

I found what looked like a decent tach a short while ago, but didn't pull the trigger. I'll dig up the link when I get home and post it.

Hey HK, where'd you go down?

I used to live and ride a Yamaha XJ400 in HK. The road from Tin Hau up and round to Shek-O was a fave. Also liked the road through the country parks up to where you catch the ferry over to Dai Lo Wan. Basically any way to get out of Central / Mid-Levels was a blessing

Hope you didn't go down on the freeway to the new airport - I knew a rider who went down there and didn't get up again if you know what I mean.

Fell on very first corner of route twisk. Damp road and as i came out of corner the bike suddenly wobbled violently under me before flipping me off. Must admit I had expected more grip from the tyres as they were already warm after long ride on expressway and I was not going mental. Perhaps there was some oil on the road too..
Well the bike is not too damaged. The saving grace was that none of custom paintwork was harmed, just scuffs on crankcase and exhaust, missing foot peg and bent gear lever and damaged tacho, headlight and left handlebar controls.

oi! try this article. It should at least point toward some suppliers.

I hope you are feeling better, and on the mend!

Best wishes,
Eric
