Newbie question. Bent front wheel hitting pothole. Found place to get wheel fixed. But not 100% sure how to go about removing front wheel. Also, where can you get the large hex wrenches to remove front axle?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I bought a motorcycle jack from Sears, less than 100 bucks works great.

You should buy a metric set of sockets if you don't already have one. A decent set will have all you need to pull that axle.

Good luck with the wheel.

You probably won't find a 19mm hex head socket bit to fit into the axle (LH side of bike), I lucked out and found a metric bolt that had a hex head that fit into the axle, so looked further, and found two nuts to thread onto the bolt to lock together to make an impromptu bit.

I did what roundslide did. Just went to Lowes, found a few bolts, they had a little ruler right there to see how long bolts are, found one that was 19mm across on the hex, and then two nuts to thread on, one of which was a flange nut so my socket doesn't try to get onto both nuts. Works great and I can use my torque wrench on it! On the right side, I got a 12mm allen key from sears and I use the handle for my jack as a pry-bar and loosen it with that.

Sparkplug socket backwards will also work.
