I've heard of some guys doing with a kit. Perhaps on newbonneville.com, but I'm not sure. I'd rather have it front and center also. Good luck.

There is an ignition relocation kit availabale from either NB or BC. I have one, but never put it on. It mounts to the front left side of the frame, where there are two hex screws there for what appears to be no reason. I never tried it because it appears that the existing electrical wiring isn't long enough to reach and conceal to the new location.

I have seen someone on this forum drill into the speed/tach mounting bracket, and did a darn good job. I just don't remember who it was.

Here it is on my T100. I recall that I had to remove part of the harness "jacket" to get enough free cable to route it to the new location. dh

Yeah, that's the only relocation kit I've seen available. I had to move mine because I changed headlight brackets.

You have to either add wire to make it reach the frame or pull the connector out of the headlight and reroute it. That's what I did. I put the connector in some shrink tubing to waterproof it just in case.

Hey DH,

How did you cover up the existing ignition keyhole on the headlight bracket? Got a pic?

I moved the ignition switch when I installed the LSL headlight brackets.

This is what mine looked like during and after.

During. A real PITA, but not real technical.

After. With headlight brackets from Bella Corse. Notice the connector by the frame neck. That's what I had to pull out of the headlight. It's been covered by shrink tubing now and should be waterproof.

I had to pull the fork legs for the headlight bracket. You shouldn't have to just for the ignition switch.

Can any of those of you that have done this advise some of us rookies?
Got the light in pieces and the ignition switch loose but struggling with getting the cables out of the headlight case. (luckily too cold in MN to ride for the next few days).

Any tips on pulling that ignition connector out of the headlight?

I was not expecting the wire connectors to be quite so large.
Having to move the ignition after installing a National Cycle Plexifaring 3 so I could extend my riding season.
