What sort of security do people have for their bonnies?

I use the steering lock all the time, but I'm moving to a more urban area and I think I need to step it up a bit. New Bonneville.com has disc brake locks, but I don't know how effective those would be.

Any advice would be great.

Security for my T100 is provided by Smith & Wesson.

I use a kryptonite lock around the rear sprocket. It prevents the bike from being rolled away. If they are going to steal it at least they have to carry it away, not roll it.

Hah.

CZ for me, but that doesn't help when I'm not around.

I've seen those in use and thought that might be a good option.

Anyone have any electronic security?

When I commute to work, I use a disc lock and the steering lock. If I lived in an urban area, I would look into one of the alarmed Xena locks (check www.sporttouringusa.com). If I'm out of town, I put a very large, one inch diameter Cobralinks through the frame and then through two 50 lb lead trunk weights, even though it's locked in the garage. When I started riding, I lived in New Haven, CT, and so just got used to locking it all the time. I also stayed away from mall parking lots, and still do.

CZ (large capacity clip I hope)...Good Choice. :-D

I also use a 7' Kryptonite cable (I believe it's 5/8 diameter) through the frame and rear wheel with heavy duty padlock. It's to my understanding though that the preferred method of stealing a bike that is not actually chained to an object is for 4 guys to pick it up with 2 pieces of pipe through the wheels and into the back of a pickup truck.
