Rod, I have to say when that seat was first on there unmodified it looked uh (my mom's words "If you don't have anything nice to say...")

But now...Your bike always looks awesome, and this is just another step in that direction!

Geez! I'm a car nut and I didn't even notice the '65. I was too busy studying your bike. It looks great!

I just retired from the AF in '02. Crewed F-15s and the Mighty F-22 for 22 years. Congrats on sticking it out this far,

Pete

Thanks Pete, the bike I think is pretty much done, the car on the other hand like I said has a lot of work left, but getting there.

I used to be a 130 crew chief, until I crossed over to 130 flight engineer. I am sure these last few years will go by just as fast at the last 15 plus have.

That may be what you called those fighter guys, but I am just a sweaty like all my other fellow enlisted aviators!!! Hehe, a term of endearment right!

Thanks to you Paul for keeping the those Sun Gods as you call them flying. I do know how unappreaciative it was being in maint, and I was only maint for 6 years. A guy I crosstrained with was a 15 CC, and another I worked with at DM. Jay Stoneback, and ?? You'll have to let me get back to ya with his name its slipped my mind for the moment, but maybe you knew one of them.

--- rodburner

The earlier pictures showed the tail of the seat in the air. What exactly did you do to get it to follow the contour of the fender?

I rode a Scrambler last weekend and the seat felt way more comfortable than the one on my 2004 Bonneville.

Have you had the same experience?

Sport, while cutting out the backrest hardware,I just kerffed the seat with a cutting disc/anglegrinder,and bent it over my knee until the pan fractured in two. It now articulates right behind the bucket portion, but doesn`t move around when bolted down.. Steve
