I received 2 pairs of the bullet marker lights from New Bonneville today. I was going to go ahead and install the front pair with the relocation bracket while I wait for the full Bolt-on Lucas tail light with harness to arrive....I remember someone saying they had to do some soldering....So what's involved? Open up the headlight, unplug the old blinkers, and then...?? Are the stock connectors not the same as the ones on the bullet marker lights? Did you pull off the male bullet connectors and solder on new ones to fit the bonnies stock connectors or vce versa?? And what did you do about the holes left from the stock blinkers??? Thanks.

The rear ones are very easy. You are correct in all the assumptions concerning the front. You will have to pop the headlight open and unplug the old ones. I cut the OEM connectors off, spliced in the bullet wires and checked them BEFORE I soddered and shrink wrap fit the connections. They work great and you can probably do a simple pigtail and electrical tape if you want to keep it simple. I use the Triumph flyscreen so the holes from the old ones do not really stand out that bad. You may want to go for the Cafe Style headlight brackets if you are going naked. The results, along with the tail light conversion, went reall well. Do the Moto Twin fenders at the same time. Do not be shocked when you start to install the tail lihgt. I may look cobby, but holds up quite well. Take your time the first time!

On the rear I cut the OEM connectors off the old lights and solder-spliced (w/ shrink wrap) them onto the new light wires so that they were about the same length as the old. Then plugged right in.

Thanks....That sounds like a good idea. Are the connectors easily available in case I ever NEED ( I didn't say "want", I said NEED) to go back to the original signals?

Boy, that I do not know--but I suspect not because I think that kind of stuff is wholesale.

I really despise my old lights so that was a no brainer for me.

If you want endless plug-and-play, maybe bullet (or other off-the-shelf) connectors for everyone (every terminal)?
