shipping prep

Hey all, Im PCSing soon Oklahoma to Florida. Going to be shipping the bike. What all do I need to do prior to and after its shipped? I sure they'll have me take the battery out and drain the tank. The bike is in the garage for the winter right now with a full tank and stabil. Any info would be great.

Thanks

It all depends on whose moving it. If its a professional bike moving company you need to do nothing. If its going in a household movers truck, remove the mirrors. I have never had to remove batteries or drain fuel. If you can coordinate your shipping with Daytona or Leesburg you can get a cheaper rate. Why dont you just ride it down...

Shipping

Going to be household movers. Not sure yet who the movers are, thats up to uncle sam. I will definitly take the mirrors off didnt think of that, thanks. Batt and gas i was thinking back when I had a four wheel shipped when I left alaska. I thought about ridding it down but going to have to bring all my uniforms and civilian cloths with me. Another thing is no place to live down in FL yet. Looking forward to getting down there to riding in nice weather and continue on with mods.

Take a bunch of close up pictures of the tank and fenders to show the bike was damage free before they loaded it.
