Not heard about that, however the adaption procedure won't work if the O2 sensors have been removed as yours seems to have, judging by your signature. What will work by idling for 10-15 minutes is the TPS reset so it's still worth doing after any work or re-mapping.
I do have the O2 removed. However, I thought it could still adapt using the air temp and pressure sensors. At any rate, my idle speed is not above 1100 so it should be okay.
