I wouldn't buy one but if someone gave me one, I'd be cool with that.

What about a 2-1 intake setup with a huge k&n stuffed under there, anyone try that yet? I know that's the way to do it on 2 strokes. Kind of like the stock setup but larger filter, more direct. just thinking out loud...

Those glass fibre side scoop panel would look better than the exposed filters and would have to work better. Chrysler had those long tube crossram setups in the early '60s (anyone remember those?) and they new the air charge needed to be as straight as possible. The pics Forchetto posted show enough room to cover up a lot of filter. Plus, your pants won't have a permanent K&N oil stain. were can you get the scoop panels? Me likey very much!

And most cars made since the mid 1980s have the main air inlets piped in through the grille, producing this same pseudo-ramair effect. Who am I to argue with GM, Nissan, etc.?
Those inlets are designed to get cooler air into the engine. Typically, the air is drawn from volumes outside of the hot engine compartment like, for example, in front of the radiator.

There is little, if any ram air effect.

This grossly overpriced kit just looks silly. I wouldn't use it if you offered me a large sum of money.
