I'd expect it to wake me up with a cup of tea and a blowjob for that money.

I'm thinking of doing this set up on my Speedmaster. Would sticking the filters right out in the open make a big difference? And what about silicone hoses instead of stainless? Not stiff enough?

I would avoid riding in the wet. Even though those pod filters are oiled and water droplets at first just sit on the oil, as soon as the engine is started and creates suction the water will be drawn in. Water in the carbs is not fun.

If you did go ahead make sure you fit a carb brace tied to the frame central spine to replace the support that the airbox provides normally, otherwise the extra weight and leverage of that kit will in time damage the carb rubber adaptors.

That's also the first time I'd ever heard that such filters are "meant" to go in some particular orientation.

You always pay a 50% premium from companies that have Corse in their name.

I'm currently going full-on bobber, airbox is now gone, side panel gone and battery will be hidden in a small ammo pouch bolted on the side. I want exposed pods and will be avoiding rain, but,.. am I right in thinking pods on a u-bend right out in the open is much more effective than behind the carbs/FI unit?

Thanks for the brace tip, a brass bracket is on my list of things to make.

Crikey! You guys are cold. I added the kit after getting a couple of inquires as to availability. Now, who would buy one after reading all of this? I mean, the humility and scorn... I'd rather be a hospital switchboard operator. (too soon?)
