I also cannot condone scotch-locks.. especially for use in locations exposed to the elements. I couldn't count the number of times I've had vehicles come to the shop with random drivability issues which I then traced back to a scotch-lock on some funky electrical accessory installation.

One thing I would add, if you are going to use any device such as the posi-tap.. make sure you seal the tap with some silicone or something of that sort. Corrosion in your wiring harness is not fun.
