why not look into it yourself? Most people take a look and can't see anything so assume they need special equipment. You don't. The commonly available HD tool fits perfectly on most Triumphs.

try it, I guarantee you'll be surprised.

I happen to be one of those "old dudes". Be tolerant of senior citizens.

I kinda like that.....nobody wants to talk to me when I am out on my Wifes CBF125......as I am riding along, the Harley riders ignore me and refuse to return my nod, the R1 riders nod tentatively till they are close, and then realise they perhaps shouldn't have nodded......but when I am out and about on the Trumpet.....well, now thats a different matter. I get more attention. Everyone nods back, people stop for a chat in the street.

The trouble starts when people start talking about specific marques from yesteryear.....I really haven't much of a clue what they are on about. I could talk all day about how I wouldn't touch a 'Plastic Maggot' with a bargepole, or how my beloved KH250 consumed more piston rings than drive chains, or how my tuned RD125LC lost a Bonneville in a straight line race, and also outhandled the same machine round the backroads (much to the red faced annoyance of the owner of the Bonny.....).......I really must swat up!

My Thruxton has re-appeared from the Dealers, all fixed.....it was a loose block connector under the tank, not the loom as I thought!!

I purchased my Bonneville in June of last year. Rain was constant so I was barely able to ride it and the few times I did most of it got really wet. In the early hours of Saturday before the clouds showed up, my wife wanted a ride so I had to use the family bike and not the Bonneville.

Summers here are horrible.

I had a few problems with my 2013 Bonnie, but nothing too terrible. I had the Triumph high-flow silencers fitted and the dealer loaded the wrong engine tune. Two days later it was stalling, backfiring and refusing to start on the first eight attempts. All fixed on the first service and now all is well.

Oh man, you gotta lay down the law!

I set my wife straight early on while we were dating..
she wanted to go riding, I said "riding two-up on this bike (05 sv650n) wouldn't be much fun.. you're gonna have to get your own", and she said "ok, teach me". So I bought a Griso 1100 and let her learn on my SV. Now we're selling the SV and this winter, I'll be building her a custom Bonneville (from a salvaged bonnie).

We do ride together on the Griso sometimes though. It's comfortable enough.. without sacrificing the cool.
