Yes, you will need a cable to connect your bike with a laptop. You download and install TuneECU (free) onto you laptop and as well as using it to look at and install tunes (modify them too if you like), you can do things like disable the AI and O2,read trouble codes and rested the CEL and, it makes balancing the throttle bodies a piece of cake. I can highly recommend buying a tune from TTP.
Regarding suspension, you have many options from mild to wild. Personally, I really like the Race Tech single rate springs and Ricor Intiminators I have up front and though I have not done the rears yet, the Hagon 2810s are looking like my likely choice.

If I go with TTP, which map should I apply to my bike. I will have the British Customs performance package, but the map requirements don't look like they exactly line up. WIll this map work for my setup?
My bike: 2010 T100 with Predator exhaust | AI removal | Airbox Removal
TTP Map===============================
Bonneville/T100 Performance Tune 3
Based on 10 ratings.
This tune is for a bike with:
TTP Breathe Cover
Airbox baffle removed
DNA performance air filter
Long free flowing silencers
(e.g. Arrow 2-2, Predators, Hyde Peashooters, Hyde Classics, BC Sleepers, Staintune Rev Cone etc.)

Hey MPLS T-100,
Very interested to track the progress of your mods. I have a bone stock 2012 T-100 (OK, I added the OEM Luggage Rack, Skid Plate, and a couple other things but nothing for performance/suspension). I think it would be cool to compare our bikes side by side once you get yours sorted. I live in St Paul.
Let me know if you're interested.
John F
By the way, rode the bike today. Couldn't resist. 54 degrees!

Sure thing FasTriumph. It will be a few months, but as soon as the snow clears we can compare. Did you get your ride at Motoprimo?

I would say that since you are removing the air box, TTP #11 may be better? I'd drop PieMan (Mike) at TTP a PM and I'm sure he'll advise which way to go.

Performance project checkin
I just threw everything together and got the bike out for a few rips around the neighborhood. I took everyone's advice and went with a new suspension as well front and back, both from BC. Its like a whole new machine!!!

Looks like you have been sucked into the addiction that is tinkering. If you are happy with your alterations to date, think what will happen when you really spice the girl up?
Suggestion get a seperate bank account and squirrel away a bit of dough each week, that way the other half wont notice a few grand for the big bore kit!

I'm considering upgrading the cam next. Not sure if the bbk is worth the investment. Thoughts?

Yep. Got mine at Motoprimo. Congrats on completing your mods. My attention is on my 1996 Trophy 1200 right now. I have the motor out of the frame and am ready to haul it downstairs for surgery (sprag clutch).
I start my Bonneville every 2-3 weeks, let it warm completely (10 minutes) and then run through the gears a couple times. Rumors that I sit on it and pretend to ride are unfounded and utterly false.
