Two-Bit

Along with my Black Bonneville, I also have a 1976 Honda CB550. I bought it with a non-original paint job on it to begin with and was trying to figure out what color to paint it. I thought about painting it one of the old candy green Honda colors, but trying and hoping I get the original look, might be very difficult. I really like the new Brookland Green on the 2013 Thruxton and was wondering if they sold the paint? If it's one of those multi-layered paint jobs, I would probably just attempt the candy green. Any ideas?

Try colorrite.com they have touch up bottles, spray cans and pts/qts. Nice Honda.

Having the Triumph paint code is the surest way for a body shop to match the color. I stopped in at a Triumph dealer over the weekend and asked for the paint code for Cranberry Red (another recently added color), and was told it had not been released yet. If you're not in a hurry, keep pestering your dealer for the paint code.

The paint code for Cranberry Red is CX. That is the code in Triumphs dealer only site. When the Brooklands Green comes out I will pass it along.

Thanks! So where do I order the paint from? The dealer? A friend of mine paints for a living and will be painting the bike. Do I just tell him the paint code? As you can tell, I know nothing about paint codes myself.

It's in the PPG software for 2013 triumph motorcycle colors.

My best guess is that PPG means Professional Painters Guide?
