Post accident inspection

Well, I was out riding yesterday and had a low speed (15mph) spill. Minor road rash and a twisted ankle for me. Minimal broken parts for the bike. The bike was able to return home...although I had to use vise grips on the shift arm to change gears (quite a sight to see). After I get everything back in order is there any type of special inspection on the motor I should do? I just want to make sure the bike is in sound riding condition all the way around.

Pay particular attention to how it shifts when You get it back together. Drops on the left side have a tendency to screw up the shift linkage as well as the shifter itself. Don't freak out, even if it's messed up, it's not that big of a job to fix.

Glad you're OK.
