I was quite happy with it but now that i can choose again, i realy want a good compromise between higher bike and good handling.

What size would you recommend me for my setting ?
If you are trying to get more arse to foot room, then shocks will not give you much, as most of the height increase will be for the pillion. Ground clearance will be improved by the upgrade. A taller tyre will also help. Isuppose the down side is that the mag bonnies are a lot nimbler than the spoked varieties so an increase in clearance might make handling less secure. The handlebar input will be a lot quicker due to the the change in steering geometry.
If you want an increse in the aforementioned arse to foot length then the best solution is to thicken the seat. This doesnt have to detract as the oem padding is too soft and compresses to ziltch, decent foam and you can increse thickness a bit will give you that vital bit of extra length.
I have shown my custom seat previously and with the standard cover i estimate the seated length to be in the region of 1" increase in the aforementioned length. I am 6'3"
