This is very worrying Dave, like you said before, perhaps there is a pattern here.

Update

I just got off the phone to the Dealer, they have replaced the shaft and internals, to no avail, and have also changed the clutch plates thinking that one might be sticking. This didn't work either.

They are now in the process of ordering a complete new selector drum and forks, apparently they can replace all this with the engine upside down!

I'll have to go with it, apparently Triumph won't entertain the idea of replacing the entire engine, and to be fair, on reflection, that would be a load of hassle too as I would have to get the log book changed over.

I will go with the flow, but I am without my Thrux for at least another week!

Blimey!

The Dealer has offered to compensate me.......now about those race cans I had my eye on........

lol

I am so sorry to here this... I just hope there are no other problems....And I hope they take the engine out and not turn the bike upside down like they did in an episode of Last of the Summer Wine Ha Ha !!!

I had the similar issue when my Thruxton was less than 50 miles new... Adjusted my clutch and wear a stiffer motorcycle boot. Took it out today for a 60 some miles ride.... The issue was not existing any longer :-)

The new selector drum and forks have arrived as of yesterday. The dealer is now re-assembling the engine.

Fingers crossed!

Yeah I think they will have changed everything there is to change.....I think that was their methodology.....hit it hard, hit it fast lol!

If it still does it I will be surprised!

U mind that ice! Nasty stuff!

At least it is supposed to be dry here where I am.....it will give me the chance to clean their Bonny.....I feel a bit guilty really, it is absolutely filthy!!!
