It doesn't say anything here about T6 being suitable for bikes, only DIESEL cars, trucks and buses.

Yes it does. T6 is JASO-MA rated. It shifts just fine in my 865/270, although in hot weather the oil temp runs a bit hotter with 5/40 T6 than it does with Mobil-1 15/50

The stuff works great in 1050 engines and IS rated for use in motorcycles with a jaso rating. Im thinking it has something to do with the sloppier tolerances of the p twin tractor motor needing thicker oil.

OIL is the cheapest form of insurance to keep the engine in good shape. Go ahead and put the cheap stuff in, save a few pennies, cents, centimes, and then shell out some really BIG POUNDS, DOLLARS,FRANCS; when you replace all the parts later. Don't start WHINING about your bikes longevity because it'll definitely WHINE when its gears and bearings get fed cheap oil.

Same specs really?! I own both,I know better. 113 hp in the wannabe rice rocket to the 60 hp in the bonny . Liquid cooled engine made to tighter tolerances engineered for the output and revs. 9500 redline for the tiger somewhere around 7 for the bonny. Top speed of around 140mph for the tiger and about 110 or so for the bonny,with tail wind. The list goes on. Rotella has a great track record for the 1050 motors,many of us use it with results indisernable from bike specific higher priced oil. Its cheaper,more readily available and does the same work. I stll use bike specific stuff in the bonny because she doesn't get ridden that many miles a year compared to the wannabe,lol.

.You ever been inside both bikes and measured any thing? I think you will find most of the clearances are very close to each other.Ever had your tiger on the dyno.Will you bet money it will out pull my old tractor motor bonnie?
