Just purchased a Union Jack Oil Filler Cap from New Bonneville, made out of 6061 Aluminum. It is supposed to be a compatible upgrade for my T100's Oil Cap, but for some reason it doesn't want to thread in like the OEM cap. Called New Bonneville and they claim I might need to file it down some due to possible chrome excess build-up? I am nervous about filing down a brand new $40 filler cap, but if this sound reasonable I may try. Has anyone out there had a similar experience? I hate to force the cap into the threads for fear of damaging anything. This shouldn't be so complicated
