going to pods will not hurt mpg at all if the bike is tuned right it may even help mpg.Anyone that tells you it hurts mpg does not have there bike tuned right.

Too true Mike. I can't say mpg is lost by keeping the air box either... when tuned correctly of course. I know you and many others love your pods but not all of us do for one reason or another....cost, looks or whatever.
