Badge Preference

There can never be enough threads discussing what badges look the best on the pre 2008 models with screw holes. On my last Scrambler I had the Garden Gates and they looked great, but I really like the look of the Hertiage Badges on my current ride. I picked these up from a fellow member on this fourm and they may be changing color to tornado red in the near future, but thinking on it for the time being..........

Pre-2008? I have a 2008 that I just pulled the stick on badges off and replaced with badges from an '05. However, I would love the Garden Gates, but they're a little hard to come by now.

Looking good bluesforchallah,

I believe there have been several threads here on what tanks have screw holes and who doesn't. I think 2008 was somewhat of the cutoff year when some did and some didn't. The best way to check is with a cheap dental type mirror placed inside of the tank opening. You can see the nubs where the screw holes are recessed if they are present. Just FYI for anyone looking for Garden Gate badges, they are still available through World of Triumph or Jack Lilley. (For some reason they are accessible in England.) I have bought two sets in the past year or so. You have to purchase them individually since they are no longer sold as a set. A search here will give you the part numbers and they are currently not that expensive.

I like the stock badges on my 2010 T100. They are very similar to the badges used 1968-1972, the era the T100 is supposed to evoke.
Here's a 1970 T120

And mine

As long as the badge says "Triumph" they are all cool!
I think the ones that come on the T100s are the only ones that fit that particular paint.
The garden gates are really very, very retro.
However, when choosing a badge for my one of a kind aluminium tank, I chose the Heritage badge, because it just looks the part.

Go with whatever you like, and ride until it falls off
