Ha! Yup, that's the one. Didn't come with the little tool, so it was useless to me.

This is a great idea! I ran to Ikea today and bought them. $12.99.
I'll have the guys in the machine shop at work cut the down a bit. Looks like I need to take 1 3/8" off.

Truckdude, this is awesome, thanks for sharing!

I know the cans are different between the earlier and later model years, not sure exactly when.

Does anybody here know if the diameter of these are similar, will these Ikea cups work on a 2012 MY with LCD odometer?

The little Allen keys Ikea supply (when they remember) are great for removing the seat cover bolts on the Thruxton!

What is the OD of your speedo and tach? I'll compare it to the ID of the IKEA cups.

Just saw this thread. What's up with your clutch cable. Forget putting cool stainless on your tach, get a proper cable for your clutch.

The ones with the hex and ball end- brilliant! Usually the customer services bit will give you free replacements

I'm doing this on my 2013 thruxton. Here's a pic of the tach cup sitting inside the ikea cup after its cut down. Perfect fit!
