Good cleaning product for black engine?
Can anyone recommend a good cleaning product for black engine parts?
I’ve been using WD40 to get rid of grease and a mild soap solution, using a soft brush (paint brush) to get into the tight spots, between fins etc. Works OK but starts to look grubby again quite quickly. Any suggestions?

I actually used WD40 for the engine on my (much missed) Tiger...just buffed off the excess. Stayed nice looking for a good while...

Suzuki Motorycle Wash. Spray it on a cold engine, let it set a minute, rinse it off. If you've got alot of grunge around the sprocket carrier, using a paint brush will loosen the worst of it with little or no effort. Really good stuff.

Yep, S100 formulated for black engine paint. Works great!

I've had good luck with Simple Green...Spray it on, let sit for a min or two, lightly brush, rinse (spray and let soak again in really grimey areas), then dry.

Armorall
Armorall I find works the best, been using it for the last 7 years and cases look like they did when it was brand new... Brings out the dark black and leaves no residue.
Sent from my wireless network in the garage...
