Maintenance Manual Recommendations

I am looking to purchase a maintenance manual for my 2009 America. Any suggestions or recommendations? Thank you.

The most suitable one for home mechanics would be the Haynes manual. The web site has not been updated yet but the current book does cover models up to date and not up to 2007 as the web page implies:

I have a OEM Triumph Service Manual for my 05 Thrux. I like the OEM Manual over the Haynes because the closest Dealer is 70 miles away.

When I take my bike in to a Local Mechanic I bring in the OEM Manual so he has one to refer to while working on the bike.

The OEM Manual is kind of pricey, and I had to wait for it to be shipped from the UK, but I use it alot and there is the peace of mind knowing my local mechanic has the knowledge/specs when he is working on my bike.

There are only two choices available as far as I'm aware - the Haynes and Triumph's own. They're both good in different ways and I would recommend having both if you can afford it (The Haynes is much cheaper). The Haynes is better for inexperienced mechanics as the Triumph one assumes a prior level of mechanical knowledge, being aimed at professional bike mechanics. The Triumph manual's drawings are frequently better than the Haynes's photos.

Lots of times if you type the exact manual name you want into Google followed by the letters PDF you can find manuals of any kind for free. You know they are a free download when you see this [PDF] at the beginning of the search result. Just a helping hint. That is how I found my manual on my 1965 650 Bonneville TT Special.

I have Haymes and managed to download the OEM manual from somewhere for free.

for most routine maintenance jobs such as changing sprockets or reshimming valves the Haymes is ok, but the pictures aren't too clear. the OEM is very good for all work and I think laid out better
