I ordered one off eBay...will be here on Tues. 34.50 shipped. It's about the fastest that I could get one here given the weekend approaching.

That'll give me time to finish my mods with a rear fender chop, and quite possibly, a different tailight.

Summit's presence on eBay sells them for only around $10+shipping. What was really cool about them is I ordered on Thursday afternoon at 4:45 pm and it was on my doorstep Saturday morning!

question to you guys wit MTX ....Any problems to read digital display during riding? I'm really fancy that piece of kit.....after my last dissapointing dyno run know that need more work with setting up, this set will pay for itself and can do few other bikes as well

I have both a permanently installed LC-1/G2 analogue gauge and an MTX-L digital gauge which I've made portable between bikes.

Altho the MTX-L is much easier and straight forward to install, I do find the analogue sweeping needle much easier to monitor the ever-moving A/F reading than I do the digital readout.
During normal riding the A/F is all over the place, due to varying engine load, revs, throttle position etc. etc.
Setting up jetting is a compromise between all these varying results, once you've worked out which ones to totally ignore. I find the analogue gauge much easier to interpret these ever changing readings.

That said tho, the MTX-L is an excellent piece of kit, having used it recently to set up about 6 very different machines, including little 2-stroke engines.
Still one of the most useful tuning tools you can buy.

Thanks for your reply ...... but one more thing here to ask ;this weather now isn't very good to tune the bike or is ok with further adjustment when and if will be warmer ..there is autumn all year round recently here

Ive never experienced any seasonal or elevation issues with jetting here in UK.
Nothing that would warrant changing carb settings anyway.
I dont think the extremes we encounter here would have much effect to be bothered about.

Its all about compromise anyway, dependent on so many other variables.
The variations due to weather conditions would be so minimal as to have little consequence compared to everything else.

I ride from -10C to plus 35C and I do need to make idle adjustments. I try to set everything up for about 15C and then just tweak the fuel screws when it gets cold. You don't want to setup lean at warmer temps, you can get dangerously lean when it cools up.

As a guide. If you set up at 50F, then at 100F you are 6% richer and at 0F you are about 6% leaner than your setup point (according to the JD jetting guide for FCRs). That's about 0.75 AFR units in either direction (i.e. 12.25 to 13.75). So it will make some difference, but if you don't ride in the extremes it isn't a big deal. Pick the midpoint temp of your riding year and set accordingly.

I just installed the innovative gauge on my bike as a permanent install. (used 2 hose clamps and cut up some old tyre tube to mount the gauge. Actually look really nice. lol.

Gauge is running on one cylinder only and the other o2 hole is blocked off.
I plan to use the local drag strip for data logging runs and hook the laptop up in a pannier for logging.With a direct mount to handle bars I find I can read the gauge just fine at full throttle. Very simple to use.

Once I get the data logging component worted (re-route my OBDII plug) then I will let you know how it goes for data logging. So far it works a treat as a constant read gauge.
