^^^ I agree, that just will not do.
A couple of observations. The signals do not look good with that bracket, the bracket is bigger than the signals. You could try fabricating your own bracket, but since I posted that sketch I found that Kuryakyn makes a chrome P-clamp that does what you're looking for. http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/688/P-Clamps
Granted on your bike a black bracket might better, but for $20 you can't beat it.


Also, with the 5 3/4" headlight the gauges now look really big from the side. They overpower the simplicity and profile of the headlight. This is the real thing that is holding me up from making the switch. I think I'll have to switch out to mini gauges and a D9 style bracket to support them.

thanks to all, especially for pics as i have been researching a different headlight. i used a headwinds 5 3/4 tomahawk on my sportster which fit due to narrower fork setup, they make a 7" as well both bottom mount, quality but $$$$ still looking
