Airbox Mod from British Cutoms on an '06 Scrambler.

Hi all.

I just gave my bike a lung transplant.

I had purchased the airbox replacement kit from British Customs. The kit itself was of a reasonable standard if a little expensive.

Thanks to Paul at Action Motorcycle Workshop in Woy-Woy, New South Wales for its installation.

Anyway, long story short... IT'S GREAT! With rejetting and TOR pipes it's a whole new thing!

Very noticeable power increase through the range...... but what's really cool is that up around 4200 RPM the thing starts this very cool whirring sound (air induction increase I suppose) like a cyclotron with wheels..... and then you're gone....

Nope, sorry.... no dyno..... but a big winner in the horsepower department.

I'd recommend this mod for anyone who wants a bit more power without removing the heads.

The pics below are the before and after..... I like the after better!

Regards,

JC

Nice one JC!

Well done on the ARK'ing JC.
Makes a difference doesn't it!

I've got a few photo's like that too!

If you're looking for something to do for a next step-up, also without removing heads, try throwing a 790 inlet cam in there!!

One hour job, not great cost but very effective, especially if done in conjunction with a Pieman'd igniter.

Food for thought maybe?

From a Triumph dealer.
You'd want a cam from as early a Speedie/America as possible.

Some info here....................
