Thruxton needles in a Scrambler :)
I've been tinkering (I know) with my carbs, main jets, pilot jets..and now I've just dropped Thruxton needles in place of the standard Scrambler needles (no shims). The result was very positive, though difficult to quantify.
The throttle performance is now "smoother"...in other words, at low speeds where you are off and on the throttle, say in traffic or when riding through a roundabout, that bike does not jerk and lurch, you can roll onto the throttle and the response is very smooth.
Additionally, the performance through the first 3 gears is noticeably-improved, with what appears to be additional horsepower, but what i more likely to be better throttle-response.
Give it a try, about $15 NZD each.
