Thruxton needles in a Scrambler :)

I've been tinkering (I know) with my carbs, main jets, pilot jets..and now I've just dropped Thruxton needles in place of the standard Scrambler needles (no shims). The result was very positive, though difficult to quantify.

The throttle performance is now "smoother"...in other words, at low speeds where you are off and on the throttle, say in traffic or when riding through a roundabout, that bike does not jerk and lurch, you can roll onto the throttle and the response is very smooth.

Additionally, the performance through the first 3 gears is noticeably-improved, with what appears to be additional horsepower, but what i more likely to be better throttle-response.

Give it a try, about $15 NZD each.

Other Motorcycle: What!?!?
Sticking in the thrux needles was one of the first mods I did after getting advice here. I think the story is the thrux needles richen up the mid range and improve the mixture if you've altered the breathing (ARK/pipes etc). Someone else can describe it better than me.
