like a big ol 4 barrel

I have been test beating the bike since I did an ARK this winter, and have Predators installed from last year. I put in the recommended 140s and 42s. It runs great and has alot more power.

One thing I noticed is that in the upper gears, when I apply generous amounts o throttle (yeah!), the carbs sound like a big ol 4 barrel carb opening up from one of my crappy teenage automobiles of old. Is this a sign of good things or otherwise? Given average amounts of throttle it is flawless. Thanks

It's just intake roar. A hollow moaning sort of sound. Some people like it, some don't. The airbox is designed partly to kill that noise and help the manufacturer meet noise regs. Some people take it as proof that the engine is breathing better.

Thanks, Forchetto. I like it myself. One definitely knows it is getting air, that's for sure!
