Jetting, jetting, more jetting questions for stock carbs...

i sold my gently used preds to a local guy here and he was wondering what his jetting should be for the following set up, basically still stock with airbox intact, only difference would be a K&N filter and the preds.

would the jetting change with a UNI filter instead of the K&N? and would the jetting change if he also pulled the snorkle and restrictor plate?

biker is at sea level.

From Ventura:

Stock exhaust with snorkel................110 / 40 / no shims / 1.5 turns
Open exhaust + no snorkel................115 / 40 / no shims / 2.0 turns
Above + Restrictor gone....................120 / 40 / 1 shim / 1.0 turns
Above + enlarged filter inlet...............130 / 40 / no shims / 1.75 turns
Above + RHS opened up....................135 / 40 / no shims / 2.0 turns
Above + velocity stacks.....................145 / 40 / no shims / 2.5 turns
With ARK + good pod filters............. >145 / 40 / no shims / 2.5 turns

I would say pull the snorkel and restrictor and put 120s in it, he should be really close.

I don't think UNI vs Kand N will make a whole lot of difference in that set up. The UNI will flow a bit better, but the airbox being on there will overshadow that I think.
