My First Triumph

I have browsed a couple threads here and there but have not exactly found what i am looking for.

I'm looking into buying my first bike. I found one i really like (2007 triumph bonneville t100) on ebay for $5200
link here to the page

But what i am looking to find out is what im geting into. There is a dealer about 40 miles from where i live so thats not really an issue. But what kind of mishaps could i be looking at?
Are there any weird things that happen to this exact model i should know of?
Is there special things i should do to maintain it?

Like i said, i've never really owned a bike before so i was hoping you guys could give me a head up on what im about to get into.

If thats your first choice of motorcycling, your already one step ahead of the crowd,2007 Bonnies are known to be one of Triumphs best 360 twins with zero problems, total reliability and they look er kinda cool,J.B.

i have a buddy that has 3 kawasaki w650's which are just a knock off. once i got my license me and him went out on a ride and what not and he told me what they were molded after and i just did research from there. They just look amazing. he wants to sell me one of his, but i am set on getting the real deal.

Awesome. Are there any big things about triumphs in general i should know? like how often do you get a tune up, can you do alot of the work yourself(given the right tools)?

This is a new world for me coming over from audi a4's to British bikes.

BUY IT!!!

That's a great price on a low miles 2007, the last year with the standard sized fuel tank.
I love my 07 T100. No problems at all thus far.

BUY IT!!!

You'll kick yourself if you don't.
Once you have it you can get all sorts of advice and help here with any questions or (rare) issues you may have.

And did I mention, BUY IT!!!

IMHO it's not a t-100. It looks to me to be a Bonnie black that has some accessories added. i.e. Chrome cam cover, and an accessory tach added. It's lacking the chrome engine covers & the side covers don't say T-100. It's got the black engine, they were grey/silver(?) on the T-100 until 09. I'm supposed to believe that someone went through the trouble of painting all that stuff, and removing the T-100 designation, when they could have just bought the Bonnie black and had 90% of their custom work done?
I would be skeptical of the seller.
That said, It's a nice Bonneville Black.

"Custom Painted Flat Black, Shaved Rear Fender, New 19 Inch Metzeler Tires, Tachometer And Speedometer Combo, Rear Seat Cowl, Upgraded Black Leather Seat, Black Sprocket Cover, Chrome Dome Cam Cover, Chrome Foot Pegs, Chrome Spoke Wheels, Low Profile Handel Bars. I Have Keep All Original Parts And They Are Included With Sale."

Going by that im guessing he/she was going for an all black look.

This is also a reason why i consulted you guys before buying. Im learning stuff already.

I agree it's probably a Bonnie Black that's been upgraded, but I see no reason to be skeptical of the seller or the price.
The price is right for the pictured bike, and it's a damn good looking bike at that!
That flat black treatment looks really awesome!
