My Next Thruxton At Last!!!!!
OK......sold my last thruxton as the girlfriend made me.....now shes the ex!!!!
Ive slowly been saveing for my new thruxton, it had to be black again and i was def gonna junk the airbox this time. Another thing ive been doing over the past year is buying bits for a bike didnt own but would in the future. Then on the 6th of feb i picked up my new thruxton!!!!after a 2 hundred mile trip home, i found myself thinking did i buy the right bike. problem was she was totally standard!!!! other problem is im 6'5 and 20 stone!!! so i arrived home at 1700, ate my dinner and went straight into the shed!!! at 0100 i came back out again and took her for a test ride!!!
HELL YER!!!!! now thats more like it!!! loud megas, dna pod filters, air injection removed, fly screen, airbox cut up and used to make brackets, blue clock bulbs, bash/splash plate, lsl rizers(which are the bollo*ks) and a crank case breather off a gsxr750 wn/wp. What a difference...... im running 160 main, NO SHIM,1.5turns out, with dna pod filters goes soo well, though those filters are a tight squeeze!!! Thanks Ventura for the jetting. Im so happy with her and the lsl bars are great see the pic's bellow as they also look good as well as function well!! another thing which is worth its weight in gold is my splash/bash plate!£30 ebay. it fits between the frame down tubes and stops the crap hitting your engine. Pictures speak a thousand words so here you go.

this pic's great as you can see how much crap it has stopped!!! it also goes right under the engine. ideal!!!

next is probably the wheels im looking at tpusa carrazzo's and then the mud guard and indicators. But thats gonna be a couple of months yet. Ride hard and stay safe!!!

Nice one Chris!!
I bet you're a happy-chappy now!
Bike is looking good and Im sure its going a lot better than the stock one we were looking at when you picked it up!
Amazed that you got all that work done in one night too.
Now we await the decent weather to enjoy it properly, but Im sure that wont hold you back!
Well done.
V.

Good for you. I didn't even tell my wife I was buying my bike. I stashed it in the shed in my yard... waiting until the weather got better. She only found out after she intercepted the DMV paperwork in the mail. That was a rough few hours.
I think this commercial says it best... substitute Dodge for Triumph of course...

Not sure if it was the steel balls or the rocks in my head that made me do it. Either way I got the bike.
I think Chris has got it right, dump the girl and get back on the horse!
