Scrambler 900 EFI 2009 with 2006 TOR

Hello Group,

I have a 2009 EFI Scrambler. I have fitted a 2006 TOR muffler set to it and ridden it for about 5 kms. It sure does sound great. However, while cruising to a stop, it makes a racket and sounds like my BSA1957 M21.

Triumph advices - EFI models require a new tune download from Triumph, if unsure please inquire before ordering

Now, this is my first EFI and I have'nt got a clue about what a 'tune' is! Honest! Nearest dealer in about 2000 kms away and there is no Scramblers in a 5000 kms radius.

Please advice and keep my feet on the ground.

Snipes and feedback welcome.

Reg,

A "tune" is basically reprogramming you engine computer to account for the change in flow due your new exhausts, i.e. richen the mixture a bit.
Since you a long way from the nearest dealer, you may need to explore other options. Power Commander or Tuneboy. Others with better knowledge of the EFI models should be chiming in any minute.
