need black mirrors for Scrambler

I was told that Scramblers have a very generic thread for mirrors and I did not find a st that fit my needs on the usual Triump websites. One of the reps told me metric bike mirrors will work. Does anyone have these or know of any brands that look lower than stock. Thanks

Yeah, I got the black Mamba's that someone else mentioned on a post here. They're a little lower and don't look like a lollipop. You can find them with a search I bet and I believe a pic was posted. Fit perfect on Scrambler. About $45 including shipping.

Oh that was you. You should have said something. Sure enough, the Scrambler, Thruxton and EFI Std/Black Bonnies (read: bikes originally equipped with 7/8" handlebars) use 10mm threaded stems.

Now here's the rub: Both mirrors are right-hand threads. You rotate both mirrors clockwise to tighten (righty-tighty). Yamaha's, Ducati's and many other metric bikes use a left-hand thread for the right side mirror. You'll need a thread-reverser adaptor on the RH mirror.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Mike. I did not mention you because I thought I might get someone in trouble for sending business away. That was rare and appreciated. Do you sell the adaptor? Mark

No. Where the answer yes, then there would be trouble.
