2010 Thruxton dyno run and PCV map

Put on the BC preds. and pulled the AI to smooth out the throttle a few weeks ago. Finaly got around to pulling the airbox last week. My gas millage was crap but I knew it would be. Today got it up to Mickey Cohen to have him map out my PCV. Very cool that you can map the two cylinders differently so that each one gets the best A/F mixture. First thing he asked me when he got done was if my MPG was ****. Just a little.
Wow it is like a whole new bike, way better and smoother than stock. Bellow is the Dyno print out and I love how smooth that curve is. Now I just need to figure out what to do in order to get 3 more ponnies in her so I can hit 70bhp.

Excellent figures for a bike with 865 cams, must be a joy to ride with that torque curve..

I agree but you know you can still see the 865 cams drop off after 6500 rpm on the torque line would love to see that tune with some good cams.

solesrfr,
Congrats on the good nos. You mention before your tuning session with Mickey your fuel economy was crap. Why was that? Did you have your PCV miscalibrated? Without PCV, the ECM will adapt back to the loaded map if your motor is basically stock and all you changed are the pipes and airbox. The PCV has auto tune, was this feature not in operation? Lastly, a question about dialing in each TB separately. How did Mickey deduce which cylinder needed a different A/F mixture? Reason I ask is there is only one wide band O2 sensor for the PCV that doesn't differentiate cylinders independently and why typically the same amount of fuel is added or subtracted for a given RPM point for both injectors. Yes, each injector can be tuned separately but the problem is determining which cylinder needs more or less fuel?
Any additional information would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Nice tune on that puppy...I wish my a/f map looked like that! Like Mike said, ditch the stock cams/get some 813 grinds in that sucker and you'll be above 70 rwhp.

Cheers,

Thanks everyone. It did feel great riding it the 100 miles home, way different bike. First off I do not have the Autotune, Mickey said that on a bike that has two cylinders it is pointless as you will have one running correctly and the other can be way off. This is why the V-twins with autotune are burning up the rear cylinder. I think he did mention it will work on the 4 cyclinder bikes though. I didn't follow up on that comment as he was real busy. He ran his sensors up the exhuast system in order to get the A/F ratio's. The MPG's where off because the BC slip on map that I got from Dyno Jet is just not a very good map, and as Mickey said "every bike is different.". Only problem is that with every mod you have to get it re mapped so I need to plan on an addition 250 bones. Best to do multiple mods at once in order to save money over the long haul. Let's see, cam, HC pistons, and better coil&wires. Maybe throw in the head work too.

C,
Are there comparison runs for before the tuning? How about for the other throttle positions?

Regards,

Derek

To much money to just run a dyno on a stock bike. At least for me anyway. I just figure I am about the same as everyone elses stock EFI thrux's. It would have been nice though.

C,
I thought you said that the guy did a custom map for you?
