boyer ignition system

Hi, due to the wiring being all over the place. and my need to sort out the igintion. is this a sound way to go, just to get the bike starting and running.
I have a 1969 T120R its fitted with a twin 6 volt coil system and a boyer ignition system.
OK at the moment the bike does not run and it looks like its the wiring at fault.
so to test this out. I have by pasted the main wiring and fitted the following in place.
a live feed from the battery to the boyer ignition box, the battery is earthed to the frame as normal and the boyer system is fitted as standard apart from the direct live feed.
I have not been able to start the bike due to having to fit new fuel lines, but can anyone please let me know if my thinking is sound in the way I have bypassed the main wiring and used a dirrect feed to the boyer unit, also I have fitted an inline kill switch.

Wrong forum mate...

I assume you mean the Boyer-Brandsden after-market ignition module fitted to Meriden twins. If so try this forum for Classic twins:

Found this utterly brilliant web page with step-by-step methods of testing every component in a Boyer system:
