Decisions

Thinking about getting a new bike. I had a Triumph America a couple of years ago I loved. Someone hit me and I got a 2006 BMC Bobber which was one of the best looking bikes I’ve ever seen but one of the worst to ride over 50 mph. NEVER get a bike without test riding it no matter what the reviews say. Just sold the Bobber and I'm trying to decide what to get.

I don’t ride a whole lot, short trips down canopy roads after work or short trips to the coast on the weekends (1-2 hours each way). I like to be able to throw my gf on the back when necessary and possibly carry a little luggage.

Soo…I’m thinking about another America/Speedmaster, Scrambler, or Bonnie. I love the St3 but I don’t think it’s really practical for my kind of riding.

What do you guys think? I need to go test ride a Scrambler.

There is a reason why rear suspension was invented - few stay with a hard tail for long so not surprised that you sold your BMC bobber. A Bonnie or Scram would likely suit your needs. Suffice to say both would be significantly more comfortable than the BMC
