air box / pod filters do I have to remove the air box

Do I have to remove the air box in order to use pods . I thought there was a way around it . I did a search to no avail .

oh on a 07 scrambler
going to do the following to it

12 inch shorties which I have
air box I would like to find a way around it
and AI i'll get

Will be installing bonneville pipes on it with the shorties.
As I have bags that will work for the winter with the low pipes .
Then back to high pipes in the spring

You really need to cut the airbox to fit pods...they won't fit without cutting. I did this it works great and you really need to remove box from bike to cut properly. You might be able to do it on the bike but too much hassel..DO LOOK at the threads here on cutting the airbox...so easy by the pictures...cut so your mounting points for all the dodads are still there. LOOK AT THREAT PHOTOS...STEP BY STEP...

The choices with your airbox are numerous.

To fit pods you'll either have to hack it or remove it.

And everything you'll likely need to know how is in this sticky..................
