Fork spacer question

Just got my intiminators delievered and about to start the install. Question is for the few here using pvc pipe as spacers. What size and type are you using? I plan on going this route for the ease of cutting over the steel spacers, plus might be lighter. Another is I have some sitting around the house. I have a bonnie without the thruxton caps. I'm also thinking I can play with different lengths to adjust preload.

Of course, the piece of scrap that's left has no markings on it, but it mikes out as follows:

OD - 33.45mm/1.315"
Wall thickness - 3.65mm/.143"

Could be off a fraction of a mm or so on the OD and wall thickness, but this should be close enough for government work!
