Newbie with new Triumph...some questions
I just picked up a 2006 Scrambler with under 1000 miles.
Is there anything I need to be aware of with this bike? Any must do tips that need to be done like re-torque bolts and such...?
Also when I am off the throttle and go back on suddenly, is it normal to be jerky or should it be smooth. Chain is in spec...any advise would be great, as I am also reading as many threads as I can to help out.

You should be smoother with the throttle ...

Look at your 11th didgit in your ser #. If it is a T, your bike was assembles in Thailand, if not, you've got a real Brit bike.
I can't help believe this jerkiness is in some heads after they read so many threads. Before I started modifying my 09 T100, I liked the throttle response I was getting. But, being new, I started reading this forum like you and look what I did to a new bike with 3000 miles on her. Good luck and have a great day.
By the way, an AI removal will solve the jerky throttle problem. Just put a dog in your headers first to see if there are any hidden cats in there. This is a whole nother story.

My throttle response could be considered "jerky." To say the least, it's very light on the touch. I have a poor man's cruise control on the twist-grip - a curved & cupped accessory, to rest the palm of your hand on. Well, each time I hit a bump, I get a "jerk" response from the throttle. I ended up adjusting this item downward, so my palm doesn't rest on it.

That's most likely just engine compression braking you are experiencing . Takes a bit to get used too .

The stock Trailwing tires are not good . I replaced mine at 4200 miles as the front tire was cupped and they sounded like a 4wheel drive truck going down the highway . This tire change was the best mode I have done yet to date . The rear shocks are not to hot either .
Has it had the 600 mile service yet ? If not get that done . I like mine a lot . I like how tall it is , fits me well . But I am making it more bonnie like all the time
gl with your new ride

Let me guess, your coming from a KLR-650? (I did)
Assembled in Thailand, same as the KLR.
