Fly Screen

Is the summer screen sufficient for long (4hr.) drives or should I consider the full roadster screen? How about the tiny dart screen; is it any use at all for highway speeds?

I like my Dart for speeds under 70 mph. Over that, the wind noise around my helmet is just too much for me, even with plugs.

Of course, your wind noise will vary.

On my Scrambler the flyscreen is perfect for summer riding. Blocks enough air to keep me from being beat up, but flows smooth quiet air to keep the buffeting low and me cool!

screen

My Triumph scrambler screen has transformed the bike from complete misery at highway speeds to a comfortable tourer.

I'm really pleased with its performance and its saved me from changing the bike.

Screens

I have a National Cycles Deflector Shield which is larger than a fly screen but not as large at the full sized screens. It does a good job of taking the blast off of your chest but does not block the wind from your head. To me it makes 80mph feel like 40mph without a screen. I broke 100 for the first time when I was fitting it. You do have to fiddle with it to find the angle that works best for you to reduce the noise and buffeting around the helmet. I am thinking of putting on a Triumph Fly Screen just because I like the look much better. If I don't do that I may do the National Cycle Flyscreen. I just prefer the look of the smaller flyscreens.
