Epco jetting info on 08 Bonnie
I have searched and searched for jetting information, so here goes: I will be running Epco low pipes on an 08 Bonnie. I am not going to mess with the airbox at this time - anybody have a stock setup with the Epcos? What jets are you using?
Thanks!

I pulled the snorkel and went with 120 for the main. I may replace the pilots and out in 42s, but I think I am going to wait until I mess with the Airbox. I am getting some pop on decel, but 120 is right on otherwise. I think I am going to block up the AI one of these days and see how that helps with popping...Hope this helps...

How do you like the Epcos? They seem to generate any number of different opinions, particularly regarding the recent quality. I think they look nice.

Very happy with Epcos
I have to say for $135 off of Ebay, I couldn't be happier. The ad mentioned a ding, but it is very hard to see, especially when mounted. I had a severe debaffle (as I see you have) and the Epcos beat the snot out of the old pipes! I know that there have been some bad batches, but I love the sound and performance. Like I said, I am getting popping on decel, but that's just because I need to plug the AI and maybe do richer pilots.....There's a pair by that vendor on e-bay right now: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Bonne...QQcmdZViewItem
I guess it goes without saying: caveat emptor ...Others have had bad experiences recently with quality.

there is some debate about the quality of EPCOs. i was lucky enough to buy a used set of upswept mufflers from someone here on the board.
i love them. they are a bit louder than i thought they would be (from watching youtube videos) but only really on heavy acceleration. i'm satisfied that cagers can hear me. i also enjoy ruining cellphone conversations and seeing kids cover ears when i haul ass down the street. it's also possible to shift up and quiet the pipes by running at a lower RPM. with these pipes you will not sound like a street bike or a harley type cruiser. you will sound like a triumph bonneville.
the stainless steel material seems superior to chrome. not as shiny, but they look like a quality part. they yellow just a tinge after a while. i think it looks respectable but i have been told a trip to a fabricator and this can be polished out.
it has been claimed that the newer ones are made in a different location and are of a poor quality. i wouldn't be able to substantiate that though. do a search for EPCO and you should be able to find the thread i'm talking about.

Beaman, I appreciate the info! I've ordered a set that are currently being listed as Epco factory seconds on eBay here. Wish me luck....
I've read the threads referring to some of the questionable quality issues that some have experienced. That would certainly be upsetting with full-price pipes, but, for $125, I'm willing to take my chances!

I was searching for posts regarding jetting recommendations and realized I hadn't "let the other shoe drop" regarding my Epco pipes. Just wanted to say that I'm delighted! They sound lovely: loud but not so loud as to get me kicked out of my neighborhood. Very deep chrome.
I see these pop up on Ebay from time to time as "commando style", still at a bargain price, if a bit higher than what I paid. Recommended! (I have no association with the seller except as a satisfied customer).
